    231 v6 in my 98 tj

Holy crap man. I spent all that time putting chevy half ton brakes on a front dana 60. That sucks, now I have half ton axles. Damn I'm so pissed off at myself right now. The point is the guy possibly upgraded the brakes, so what. Your missing the fact that there are a lot of Toyota guys on this...

I'm just trying to dumb it down as best I can. Can I put the gears from the front of my cruiser in to the rear of my full floating six bolt BJ45 from Canada, it's one ton. The list goes on. I feel like I'm at a first grade spelling bee and the kid is spelling CAR with a K. I just want to yell...

STOP. Read what people have posted. Some of us are trying to help you out but you keep saying the same stupid stuff man. The guy you bought the truck from wrote one ton gears on a piece of paper and now it's gospel. Who is more of an idiot, the idiot or the guy who follows the idiot. Here is a...

You are starting to make more sense now. Your terminology is a bit confusing, there aren't any one time gears or one ton gears. Axles from one ton vehicles are typically a Dana 60 front axle and a 14 bolt or sterling 10.25 rear not toyota axles. There are different gear ratios for these axles...

    Dana 44 outer interchangeability.

Looks like it might be Dana 60 time for you my friend. Your driving style is not conducive for the survival of a 44.

    Dana 44 outer interchangeability.

It sounds like you all ready have ford hubs on it when you stated 5X5.5 bolt pattern. I have never seen a chevy 4X4 hub with that pattern. Pre 77, 1/2 ton chevys use a small bearing spindle which is compatible with 76 to around 91 broncos and f150s.Your rotors will still work but the backing...

    Spartan in a 60

Yeah personally I think that the lunchbox lockers are not that great. I find my self reading soo many testimonials of guys on Pirate running them and think to myself, what am I missing?. I have had a lockright, ARB, OX, and Detroits and I have only been truly happy with one. Looks like the heep...

    Spartan in a 60

Welded front ends bring the suck. I'm looking for some input. I have had a lockright in my old HP 44 and it didnt seem to last long. I was thinking that the size of the carrier would allow it to run bigger coupler and pins making it more reliable. Has anybody compared the two side by side, 44...

    Spartan in a 60

Anybody running a spartan locker in a dana 60? I have a detroit in the rear but I would like to try a 35 spline Spartan in the front. Do the pins last? Do the couplers wear fast? Any first hand experience would be helpful. ~Paul
