How wide is too wide? Axles…

I'm 90inches wide on a rockwelled rig. Just like was said before, rear steer helps going through the trails so you don't feel too wide. If you ever want to have an enclosed trailer, going over 90inches wide will severely limit what trailer you can get. i have seen some that have a 92inch wide...

    Weight distribution hitches

I had a trunnion set up nearly 20 years ago. towed a 16ft enclosed trailer with a 1/2 ton 2wd reg cab pick up. rode great, but the trailer also had torsion axles, so maybe that helped the ride?:dunno: i had bought the set up used and the hitch was about wore out, called Reese and they...

97 Jeep TJ 2.5L to 5.9L Magnum... to MOAB!

For what this sport has become Moab is not too challenging, stay off Pritchett Canyon and be sensible and you should be fine to run any other trail there. I have never met anyone that has said, "We drove more than 20hrs to Moab and is was not worth it", so you will have a great time with any of...

    Rural King 42”Fan

yes, you could spin the blades faster by reducing the size pully on the fan or increasing the size pulley on the motor. depending on the cost of the pulleys vs. cost of the belt, you might be able to reduce pully size on fan, increase size of pulley on motor and not need to change the belt if...

    Coil over pressure

you will see about a half a psi gain for every 1000ft change in elevation. Temperature has a greater effect on tires. you get about 1psi for every 10°F. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=167 as for the shocks, I would imagine you are running about 200psi of nitrogen...

    Install air bags or not

I put bags on my 16 F250 a few years ago and regularly pull a similar set up to yours. mine initially didn't sag quite as much as yours though. after i added them, it sure does help smooth out the ride. Run about 25psi in them when pulling a normal load. we will sometimes throw a RZR on there...

    Found buggy insurance

I have a friend that thought his three dirt bikes were covered by his home owners policy so he did not insure them. Unfortunately they were stolen and he found out the hard way they were not covered. I guess some have said you may be able to get some type of coverage for these types of things...

    Daystar bumps

I ran them a couple rides because the previous owner of my roller chassis already had them installed and they were not for me. replaced them with air bumps and am much happier with their performance. for the price of these things new, you can find NIB air bumps for just a few dollars more and...

    3.5 Ecoboost

we have a crap ton of kids so we ordered a fully loaded 12pass van with the ecoboost back in Sept 2017. Definitely not a church van. Plenty of power, my wife mainly drives it like she is racing home to go pee all the time. Gas mileage with her driving it like that is about 16mpg. I have got...

    Pics of your shops/garages/specs

My builder is trying to convince me to use SW Armorseal 8100, but based on the reviews it appears it does not resist hot tire pick-up very well. Anyone have any experience with it? I would love to be able to buy something locally so I can buy more than what I need and return what I don't use.

    Pics of your shops/garages/specs

I am not 100% on where things will be located so it will be 6' x 6'. I do like the idea of 1ft, not sure if he can get his mini excavator back in there at this point. he's already trenched that area for the concrete beams. were planned to go 8inch.

    Pics of your shops/garages/specs

After looking for a different place or buying land and building, we decided to just build the shop I wanted(and the kitchen my wife wanted). We like our neighborhood, live close to schools, 10 minutes from work etc. so moving was not real appealing anyways. Got started this week on the demo of a...

    Sand Hollow

the obvious stop would be Moab, but I'm guessing you've already been there and that's why you are heading to Sand Hollow? Sand Hollow can already be pretty hot at the beginning of May, if you can get there a little earlier in April it will be a little cooler. For the last five years we have...

Cold vulcanizing from Busted Knuckle Off Road

Since this thread has been bumped, I figure I would give an update on the patch from February. In March I flattened a tire at the Mega Run and swtiched to this tire with the patch and have been running it since then. I get out 2-3 days every month for a ride except July & August. We rode 7...

i run the large spectre from Autozone...i guess these say you can clean them, but for the price I just put them in the trash when they need swapped. I have had good luck with them on other vehicles and like being able to walk into autozone and get a replacement if needed.
