    Coil selection

The way he explained everything on Pirate made you really understand the whole picture about shock setup, spring rates, shock location, everything. Now if only him and Cameron Steele can finish KOH in the Lasernut car that would be a awesome accomplishment too!

Get on Pirate 4x4 and look up the old threads from Wayne at All Tech motorsports. Grab yourself a few drinks and spend an evening reading the whole thread.

Diesel fuel is in short supply

If you think it is bad now I would buckle up for a wild ride! I work a lot on the finance side of the Agricultural industry. The way spring planting is going reminds me a lot of 2012 when it was a very wet spring and a hot dry summer. I would bet money by the end of summer you will see $9.00 per...

Diesel fuel is in short supply

You can't go around constantly canceling oil leases and then blame oil and gas companies on the price or shortages. Just a few days ago this administration canceled more. So from the Oil and gas companies side why wouldn't you charge more? If the people voted for this administration and this...

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

Gearworks is around $4K complete. They charge $500 to setup and run. Just throwing out a budget friendly way if someone is trying to pinch pennies and knows how to setup gears. Or if you can buy a used case etc. EWR is about the same price for a complete setup. Yes you end up with "used gears"...

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

This 5.43 is on Race Dezert. I'll get links to the pro 2 pro 4 forums.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

If you want gearworks, you can buy their 3rds with everything but the R&P for around 2K. Then go get on Race dezert or a Pro 2/4/ lite forum. Those guys change out gears almost every race. They sell basically brand new gears for around $500. All US gear/ gearworks polished REM finished etc.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

Weight savings. A lot of people will run a GW HP front and a Yukon or strange case in the rear for weight savings.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

OG post sorry for all of this derail. Should we make a spinoff thread that way more people can see this topic of dropouts, gears etc?

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

That would be the way to go that way you could buy one used gear for a spare and it would be good front and rear!

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

Yes HP front LP rear EWR pinion supports. 45 spline 45 degree pressure angle spools. I really was thinking about running a HP rear for more ground clearance. How knows maybe I'll do that down the road.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

Andrew is the one who pointed me more towards Gearworks, he also said the new Gearworks True10 will be around 14K and be right there with the Mason diff. Yea the money spent on TT teams is crazy. A mason "TH400" is $58K.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

I did, and after a lot of back and forth I went with gearworks. I got 2 gearworks for about he cost of 1 tubeworks. Yes the tubeworks are lighter. I originally had one, however I just couldn't justify the cost of an additional one in the rear so I was able to sell it for what I had into it.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

It will be interesting when I put the Gearworks 3rd in it and cut it to length.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

So I have front and rear steer Dana 80's, I also just bought a set of S&S Fabrication Housings and will run front and rear 45 spline inner Drop out steer axles. I'll bring my scales out to the shop over the next week or two to get some weight's. I'm curious on the savings.

    KOH Shootout Commentary

I think the SRRS has lost a decent amount of drivers who use to put on the show out there. So Matt holt is the only person who is out there from the SRRS. Plus why put a $7500 pay out on the cake walk part and $2500 payout on the bounty "waterfall" in the desert!

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

It sounds dumb but I really don't understand the whole 1550 joint growth lately. Why not just step up to a rockwell size joint? We know a 40 spline 300m shaft is stronger than a 1480 why mess with a 1550. I'm not an engineer but I figured branik and a few other companies would go straight to...
