    Tin Top Buggy

Sorry if this was covered, but are you going to try and keep the rear door functional? I have a similar project that I want to keep the rear door functional on, just don't know how it's gonna work. I've already moved the lower hinge up, and moved the latch to clear where I cut out for tire...

    Hillbilly camper ideas

Re: Re: Hillbilly camper ideas It's a 7.3 IDI and a 5 speed spicer for now. I'm about to start swapping in a 24v Cummins and Allison. They do ok with the 7.3 for only having 175hp. But, they are noisy and on the governer at 68-70ish mph. It doesn't ride great but it's not terrible, the...

    Stupid tow pig, Tranny issues

Firepunk Diesel hands down. The valve body is where the magic happens. Garmons transmissions shift way too hard and damage themselfs.

    Heim joint size

My uppers with 3/4-7/8 have normal misalignment spacers welded to the link tabs, and use a 3/4 bolt. My 1 1/4 lowers use high misalignment spacers which take the bolt size down to 3/4. I run L9 fine thread bolts, which like mentioned earler torque to a very high number....just can't remember...

    Heim joint size

Basically a 7/8 Heim with a 3/4 ball, so you have 3/4 through hole, a smaller ball than a normal 7/8 Heim, which puts more metal holding the ball in place.

    Heim joint size

7/8-3/4 Heims on the uppers of my U4 buggy with no issues. Several friends have ran them on all links on crawlers and nobody has ever broke one.

    Lets Talk Batteries

At the expo, when I mentioned that my Sears die hard platinum looked exactly like the north star.....they didn't really argue or debate that, so I almost would think its the same battery. However he did say that the north star would be cheaper.

    Steering pump feed line

My old buggy chassis had a loop in the feed line and I never had steering issues. The resi was too close to the pump to feed it directly. So I'd say you can get my with less than ideal situations but you will have to try and see. I saw one bouncer with the resi mounted back by the firewall...
