Where I used to work, a guy took a single phase motor, and had it driving a 3 phase motor via belt drive... it converted single phase to 3 phase.......

All AMC inline 6s and V8s share the same bellhousing pattern as well as motor mount location.

T-case is currently tore down and the case and other parts will be hot tanked this week. Then I will put the new bearings, seals, etc in the clean case. Putting new parts on a dirty case is like wiping your butt then taking a dump.

Every place I check, sells each bearing individually. All I want is to buy all 4 bearings as a "kit." I know I've seen em sold like that, just cannot remember where.

Im in the process of rebuilding the T-case for Dad's CJ5. Does anyone know of a bearing set that has the 4 main bearings in it? We already have the gasket and seal set.

Would not need to remove them. I'm good with dial calipers and a piece of paper and camera.

Can I come over and copy your hard door hinges on the windshield frame and body.... Dad has a '72 with the same hard top. Minus the hinge half..

Everything worked as planned. No noise from the rear (other than the tires barking :redneck:) Found a dirt lot (off 128th in Marysville) to lock in the front. Man what a difference with the locker in the front.

Gears/locker is installed and set up. Axle is back together (had two sheared bolts in the pass hub, had to eazy-out). Taking it for a test drive now.

I got the housing stripped down to a bare housing in 1hr 20min. New personnel best for me. I finally got the pinion depth correct as well as the pre-load. Now I have to set the backlash. I guessed, but I have to move a shim or two from one side to the other to tighten it up. Right now its too...

Na, I'll prolly still drag my nuts on the top like last time... :haha:

This is in the front of a CJ, so it's not turning all the time like in a YJ or TJ. Chances are I will tackle this project in the next week. I am slinging the rebuilt rear under the back today. Will sure be nice to be locked up front and rear, right Karl?
