Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

I have one like that that I'm going to be selling. I used to run it but switched to an auto and upgraded to 1410 shafts so it came out.

He's going to come up with some sort of engine cage to protect the supercharger then mount my roof and possibly new skins on the side.

Cant believe it's been over 2years from updating this thread. Since the engine swap I have had to cut off the rear of the chassis and redesign it and I put a 14 bolt in the back after bending and spinning the rear 60 tubes.

2rz/3rz toyota Trans and t-case options

No I was just picturing if you made a spacer that bolted on with the flexplate. A spacer with the crank 1.25 pilot size machined in one side to center it and the converter 1.7 on the other side to center and support it. Tig on a couple spacers on each bolt lug on the converter to take up...

Enough room for a 1/2" spacer to bolt on with the crank bolts that is the correct 1.7" and still bolt up the converter

Anyone ever make a zirk guard?

I cut a 3/4" pipe about 1/2" long or so if I remember right and welded it on. I can get a couple pics later and post up.

    brake prep for moab.

    1. Yes the closet the pivot is to the MC rod the easier it will be to push in, but will take more foot travel to push the rod in the same amount. A longer pedal could accomplish the same but if your already close to the floor then you dont have that option. 2. I dont think there is a...

So why use unit bearings on the rear? Cheaper than buying spindles? Or did you want them for ease of replacement and maintenance?

That is awesome with the two radiators. I had originally planned to do that in my buggy for more storage area and easier packaging but I was afraid it would be a nightmare to bleed and not cool enough so I didn't try it. I had even bought the same radiators that you have but ended up selling...

    Electric hydraulic pump for steering?

Could you get something like an electric water pump motor and hook it to the P/S pump instead? Might could make it all mount under the front plastics somehow.

2rz/3rz toyota Trans and t-case options

Re: 2rz/2rz toyota Trans and t-case options My atlas had the shortest output possibel. from mounting flange of the case to the rear output flange was a little under 12" if I remember correctly.

2rz/3rz toyota Trans and t-case options

Re: 2rz/2rz toyota Trans and t-case options You should be able to fit a 4spd atlas. My crawlbox atlas combo is behind a toyota 5spd and inside a 105" wheelbase. Hope that helps with visualizing size.

2rz/3rz toyota Trans and t-case options

Re: Stak t-cases or toyota options Supercharged 3.4 toyota v6 to toy 5spd, toy crawlbox to 3.8 atlas. I went through what sounds like the same deciding factors as you and that's what I came up with. I had dual toyota cases at first then decided I needed a stronger case. I looked at all...
