Like mentioned above something on the roof to keep the rain off. Extended breathers on the axles to keep water out. A good set of rain gear. I cant tell if your tube is painted but any bare steel should get some paint on it.

I'd thread the nut all the way down and check to make sure the bolt portion doesn't interfere with the frame. You could always cut it down but it's nice to be able to replace a broken part without having to modify the replacement. You could notch the frame like previously mentioned but why do...

Looks like the castle nut is a little close to the frame but its hard to tell from the picture. Cycle the steering with the driver side suspension at full stuff.

What would be awesome is some sort of adjustable clutch that varied from full lock to 0% with the slide of a lever. I bet there are some climbs or other situations where 30% power to the rear at the start and then engage 100% part way through would kick ass.

Is a 73 valco a welded hull or riveted? If it's riveted, it might not be a weldable alloy.

Wet news paper strips stuffed in there instead of grease works too. If all else fails bust out the inner race cage and bearings, section the outer race almost all the way through with a dremel or die grinder and then pop it with a chisel.

Thanks for the inputs. Seems like the impellor (2years old) is working good. He put clear hoses and the water is running fast. I'm thinking this isn't a cooling problem since I cant measure anything on the engine over 200 degrees. Seems like a motor shouldn't stick at the temp it's at.

My buddy has a boat with a buick V-6 When the engine sees a load, the motor will seize and stall somewhere between 180-190 degrees water temp. It then cools down and runs again. It has a 160 deg thermostat. I jacked around with the thermostat to make sure the cooling system is working. I runs...
