He is trying some .125, 4130 chromoly that was sent for heat treat. Kind of a test to see if heat treating that thin of material will hold up to the rigors of what the belly is put through.

He got some paint put on the hood, roof, and panels. Plumbing and wiring is next.

I figured you would go with the Champagne color... but you would have to get 22" rims and be blond and talk on the cell when driving it to complete the look.

Got a picture of the other side of the skid?......My guess is it will work well if there's plenty of bracing on top of it to keep it from flexing. If it flexes too much it may tend to crack.......

Plate looks the same on the opposite side. Support for the plate will come from the belly tubes of the chassis. Right now I can't find a pic of that area.
 
Got a question for ya James....was looking at your motor and wondered what all your pulleys and accessorys came off of?????:eeek::eeek:

Most were just the truck accessories located to where they need to be then build brackets to keep them there. I think he robbed a tensioner, or just an additional pully, form a Camaro.
