I was hoping to keep it light that’s why I was trying to stay with 1 case. Plus going with the tracker case would just simply everything and I’ll have one if I get a donor rig. Are you running 5.29 axles?
I was thinking about using the tracker/vitara transfer case instead of the samurai but I think I would want more than the 4.24 gears they offer for them.
Yeah I've had it for about 4 years now. I've changed the front suspension and axle but it still looks like the popsicle. It's a solid rig but I'm about ready for something else.
That’s kind of what I was hoping for. I’m thinking I want the 2.0 and 4 speed like you have. Is the 2.0 much larger than the 1.6? I’ve tried finding pics of them side by side but had no luck.
How are you liking the 4 speed trans? Was it worth the upgrade? Pros and Cons of each of the autos?
I'm kind of tired of running 3 pedals so I'm looking for some real world experience.
Putting an inline desiccant near the unit is probably going to be the most cost effective way to get dry air. Don't forget to look at the plumbing of the system as a whole. Make sure you are pulling air from the top of the header or tank. Well placed auto drains and drip legs will definitely help.
Why stick with the carbs? I have a pair of Weber side drafts on my tin tip. It was a nice improvement over the stock 1.3 carb but it think I'd rather have efi.
