Where can you get to 7K on Tonga? From the maps it looks like 5K is as high as the trails go.

Went last year and had a blast. It was my first time down to the Hammers. Nearest real town is probably Victorville or Hesperia. The event is 45 minutes south of there. My advice is try to get there early and get a feel for where the trails are. That way you can get setup with some good...

I too have a Polaris RZR S, and no, their NOT legal on any FS roads (ask me how I know) and they suck in snow deeper than a foot. The track kits for them look pretty cool. :cool:

Oh, and by that point in the season the snow level is pretty much right down to hwy 2, so there won't be much of any trailer parking.

They're patrolling like Aurora Avenue North..... Seriously, lots of FS Officers up there. They towards the hwy 2 end of Beckler River Rd all afternoon & evening waiting for people as they come down for the day. If you're rig is not 100% street legal they'll cite and/or impound. Watched it...

Once upon a time I had a pretty sleuthy 4-stroke dualsport. Pretty much the ideal means of transport for covert ops! There are so many miles of logging roads out there! And on a random weekday you don't ever see anyone.
