Huh? Unless there was a recent land swap, the back lot is DNR land, has a discover pass sign (depending on if its still there), and a welcome to Walker Valley post on it.
But yah sucks to hear vandals are getting back there. I guess its a bit easier to get away with it there than the main...
Talked to Ted today -- he's trying to recruit a bunch of ATVs as well. Sounds like we can also camp up there Friday night as well!
Planning to come up after work
The Timber Tamer Timber sale (Walk 'n Rock) may skirt the middle of timber tamer trail.
PS -- I love how the Timber Sales show the ORV trails from over 10 years ago.
It looks like the 'promised' snow somewhat under-delivered this weekend. Everything south is super easy to get to.. There is a little bit of snow, but not enough to make for much of a challenge.
Although I'm thinking maybe Slide Mtn in whatcom county would be good, Kevin hows it looking up...
lol GETTING ready? Haha it was fun, we turned it into a rescue mission! Nothing like a Samurai on 31s breaking trail. Poor Mark :haha: :haha: :fawkdancesmiley:
As soon as I can get photos off my phone (tomorrow) I'll post some.
Okay just looked at the latest weather reports, and its looking AWESOME for sunday! Lots of snow should make for a good run. Hope to see ya'll there!
Meet at in NB Chevron/McDs at 9am if you wanna caravan across the pass.
Well the models just keep getting better and better. Instead of showing sunbreaks for sunday, there is an estimated 12-16" of snow expected to drop in a 24hr period as of sunday at 4am. As well as another 10" on sat, and 5" on Friday. We should have LOTS of snow to play with!
I'm still watching...
IT IS ON! We have an estimated 2' Of snow falling between Friday and Sunday morning!

After talking to John, it sounded like we should try to make the trek up there this weekend. Giving sunday our best...
Sadly even south is looking not so good. Looking at the webcams, I think Hood River would be the place to go, TSF is bare and wet right now.
There just isn't enough moisture north of the Columbia River to drop much snow. I think we're looking at maybe 6" on Larch mountain.
Hmm it looks like most of the precip is staying south. They revised it from south of I-90 to now south of Mt Adams:
* Snow accumulations: 3 to 6 inches of snow are possible across the lower Columbia Basin of Oregon...4 to 8 inches of snow are possible over the Simcoe Highlands...and the east...
hmm the latest report is showing its just going to be COLD and Dry north of Vancouver, WA.
However, I'm thinking a run upto Hood River or maybe just south is where we're going to go. LOTS of snow there!
Hopefully by next weekend we will see some more precip, but at this time my guess is that...
So the latest Weather report is in -- and its trending towards SNOW almost to sea level on thursday and friday, especially down south.
Will be watching the weather closely. Its looking like this next weekend might be a good candidate. Jacob can't make it to Gallegher, but I might -- depends on...
Ya'll won't be disappointed. Thanks Scott for showing us around today, I'm pretty impressed by what you guys have been able to do up there :awesomework:
haha. GODDAMN HIPPIES!!!
The weather outlook is pretty bleak right now. Stevens pass is bare, there was only a dusting last weekend at Funny Rocks, and the really cold front passing over the country next week is going to set us up for a ridge of mild temperatures while the warm air from the...
