Been out of the game for a long time..

A little late to the ball but I've got 3 AR60 axled rigs with the full polishing treatment. One is a TTC type rig, a tube FOFF and a crawler. Selling the VP dig off of the crawler since the od/ud gears pretty much negate it's usage most of the time. :D

Bought me a new toy today

Good call on the VP parts. Best fit and finish on the market hands down. Grab a set of axial univeral axle shafts for the front and you'll be hard pressed to break them. Well until you strip the factory locker... :redneck:

    Might be buying a rc.

Yea those knuckles should have a place to bolt on steering arms on the back side of them. Cut off those factory arms, swap the knuckles side to side and bolt on a set of arms from axial or vanquish products. I have wraith steering parts on my ax10. My VP knuckles have bolt on steering arms on...

You certainly didn't get hurt for the cash you paid, that's a nice rig. I can alreqdy see some things that I'd change for reliability and performance reasons but for now just have fun. :D

The scale size is pretty equivalent to cost. 1/10th scale is about 1/10th the cost. A grand will build a pretty bad ass bulletproof rig that will stand up to a serious beating and comp rather well.

Join rccrawler.com and start reading. Yes you can waterproof what you have already and run it underwater if you want. Just be sure to check your bearings often or buy replacements periodically.

Been out of the game for a long time..

Yes a basher capable of crawling is what I'm after in a nutshell. The scale semi realism is just a bonus due to all the sick parts out there now. The scale sx's and aluminum first gen body are what is fueling the fire. :D If I'm not mistaken the ring & pinions are the same on the axial as...

Been out of the game for a long time..

Crash you're off base on this one trying hard to remember things I didn't say. I have always been into r/c's and I've brought a lot of people into the hobby and had a ton of fun doing it. Yes I talk **** about the guys that are so far into things that they think non issues are game enders but...

Been out of the game for a long time..

Why do I want it to do front digs? Easy because my truck does them and that would be scale to have the ability. And like I said I won't be doing any kind of competition with this so why should I care what someone else does? I never put down someone who messes with r/c's for fun I poke fun...

Been out of the game for a long time..

I hadn't taken the worm gears reduction into account and I'm now rethinking it as I have NO plans on competing. Is the dig trans on the axial decent or is it worth it to step up to something from RC4WD? I fully plan on beating this thing withing an inch of its life repeatedly so near...

Been out of the game for a long time..

What? I have always liked the scale rigs and with the new aluminum bodies that dent and crumple like the real deal it made it a simple decision to get back into it. No I don't have a single plan on any sort of competition unless it's a TTC or KOH type of deal but I'd like to have another...

Been out of the game for a long time..

Cisco I was getting to that very conclusion about the axial and then I came across the losi crawler. I had totally forgotten about that rig and I've always been a huge losi fan so I'm leaning that direction. Especially after reading up on a few of the features. Granted the axles aren't very...

Been out of the game for a long time..

And I'm getting itch to get back in. :redneck: I have a couple gifawkingnormous maxx based crawlers but I want a more scale 1.9 or 2.2 crawler and my head is spinning at what is out there now. I built a wheely king for a good friend when they very first came out and I tweaked it for a long...

    Now this is a Scaler

Other than the steering being rather scale and the nice chassis it's just another tuber really... Not that it's done badly but it's not over the top like so many of the scale freaks get with full interior etc.

    As promised

We started on the WK last night building new links and whatnot, just got it finished about an hour ago. It works rather well but it needs way more power or at least some more gear reduction when used with stock savage tires & wheels. They are just too heavy and tall for the stock gearing. The...

    just wondering

A buddy bought a WK and all the parts to make it 4wd. Its converted to 4wd now, the rear is locked but neither of us has had time to do the suspension. Once I start the new local job Im sure it'll go quickly. I'll post pic's if anyone cares.

Yea that guy used to come up to the parts store I worked at (bowdens auto parts in sunnyside) when he first started that place. If Im not mistaken its the same guy that drives the F-450 for kiona towing... Actualy Id bet on it.... Get ahold of me on friday or saturday if you wanna go out...

    3 cities locals wanna run?

Hmm I didnt realize there was a parts store in bentucky again... Last one i knew of was the large green one on the corner heading towards the freeway and that closed years ago... Im up for this weekend.. although I tossed 12 cells in the maxx, wired the 17 turn motors in parallel and managed...
