Getting ready to build my second rig and I scored a set of tons... Has anyone ever put a super 60 in an XJ? I could use some helpful tips.

Now are we talking the normal "super duty 60" or the "super 60" aka f550 stuff? I think Will has a set of normal +05 sd tons under his xj.

My son just put a set of 04 SD axes under his XJ, along with a set of 42's

It's a 60 out of an 09 F350, its going to be sick if I can ever get it together.

Im putting a 09 sd60 under my tj with artec truss....ill let you know how it goes as we are mocking up suspension.

Yeah, I have some 05+ axles under my XJ. Used to be coil sprung but now I have ORI's. I'm on the computer at work so I'll post pics when I get home. Easy to do after you cut all the old bracekts and cast off to get down to the axle tube on the driver side. Lots of people on Pirate have build pics of them going in to full sized rigs and buggys.

That might be the longest I've ever seen you take to reply about an 05+axle in an xj. :flipoff1:

Sorry for the link to another forum, but this one was running an 04 Superduty axle and came out awesome!

As much as I love the 99-04 axles (I run one), they're a completely different ball game than 05+.
