I've been beating the snot out of my Milwaukee M18 FUEL stuff for the past year and been very happy. My M18 impact has pretty much replaced my 3/8 air gun.

Only problem I've ever had was when I dropped it off the core support of a jacked up truck and one battery split in half.

Ouch! I started on Milwaukee last year as well when Hardware Sales in B'ham had a killer deal on a drill, impact, charger, and 3 batteries set. Planning on getting the sawzall and bigger 1/2" impact as well. They've been really really good on battery life, I still haven't ran one dead for the small projects I do.
