I bought this a few months ago with the intentions of a full restoration but realize I just don't have the patience and started looking more seriously at ones that were already where I wanted them to be. I have found a few but want to sell this one before I drop that much cash. I can get more an better pics to anyone that is interested.
Here's what I know about the truck....
Motor and trans - I was told it had a 350 in it when I bought it - did not really care as I know it was coming out. I THINK now that it is actually a 307 - it has 305 manifolds on it. It does run but could use a tune up - plugs / some carburetor tuning and so on. The radiator has a leak but it appears to be the original and was coming out anyway. The transmission is a TH350 in good working order. The truck runs fair and drives really good - I have put about 200 mile on it.
Rear End - It is a 12 bolt open diff
Tires and Wheels - the tires are new BFG all terrains of some sort. The wheels are GM rally wheels - I don't think they are period correct for the truck.
Truck Body - There is a small dent in the front fender that could most likely be pulled out with ease. The rest of the body is very straight and not even any dents in the bed. The paint is partially original but apperas to have had a paint job a long time ago. At some point there was a slidding glass window added and there are two rust spots under it. On the passenger side it appears that part of it has been fiber glassed over at some point. I was anticipating having to add some metal there once I got to that point. The interior is very good except for a tear in the seat on drivers side.
This is could be a good driver but is not a restored truck
