1987 samurai sensor

can anyone help me i have a 87 suzuki samurai, and i was driving it and the sensor light came on, on the dash the only sensor i can see is the o2 on the header is there any other sensor that would kick that light on??

Sensor light is only set by mileage(thanks liftedzuki, caught my ****oo)...there is a simple little slide switch under the steering column you switch the opposite way it is set at to reset light...kinda hard to get at/see, but you can...

Every 25k it sets off the "take it to the dealership" light.

But yeah, it is merely a light to let you know to have the emissions checked over, then they (you) reset light ...

It was a way for suzuki to get samurais to the dealership.. Trying to make a little money off it

i looked and looked under there for the switch, and could find it, is it possible mine doesnt have it?

Nope, they all have em, look dep up there, they are kind of a ***** to see, but they're there...

On the righthand (passenger) side of the column, approx 6" forward of the bottom edge of the lower dash if that makes sense...

i just took apart my whole dash so i could see under there better, and there is now switch under there lol

Is this rig a virgin rig, or has it been molested?? It SHOULD be there...unless by some chance someone removed it...but why would they? It's a worthless slide switch...:haha:
Mine's an 87 as well, I'll check it and even try and shoot a pic of it's location in a bit...

it has some wires ran i dont thing its molested, but yea i dont know ive only has it for 2 weeks
