1st Gen 4Runner sliding window sealer

I am in the middle of replacing the sliding window units in my 4runner, WESCO carries the butyl tape to put the new ones in but they sell it in 3 different widths, 1/4, 3/8, and 5/8"...

Anyone have any idea what the proper width is?

Talked to an auto-glass guy and he tells me that the factory width was .24" (the metric equivalent).

So 1/4" it is.
