Nordkap (Dark Blue) Leather Interior
74k Miles
Factory Sport Kit

I am selling my daily driver to get back into a SUV. I love this car to death, but I have found that I am much more of a SUV guy than I am a luxury sedan or sports car guy. . .and I really need a vehicle I can keep work tools in, and something I can strap a ladder onto for work.

This car is every bit of a luxury sedan and sports car all rolled into one. It has all of the luxury and creature comforts you would expect in a 2005 Volvo, including all power options, 6-disc cd changer, sunroof, premium sound system, heated leather seats, fold down rear seat head rests, etc., etc. And it has all of the safety features that Volvo has become known for (airbags all around, traction control, anti-lock brakes, etc.). These cars were only produced from 2004-2007, and you certainly don't see a lot of them around. And when you do see one, you may not recognize it as being any different than a regular S60.

It has an in-line 2.5L turbocharged motor, with a 6-speed manual transmission, and all-wheel-drive. It is a total sleeper, producing 300 hp and 300 ft-lbs at 15 psi of boost from the factory. It has electronically controlled adjustable suspension settings (comfort, sport, advanced), which adjusts the stiffness and responsiveness of the suspension to the driver's preference. It comes stock with a factory sport body kit, 18" 5-spoke Pegasus wheels, and Brembo brakes.

History of the car:
I bought the car almost 2 years ago when it had right at 60k on the odometer. The previous owner rebuilt the motor due to a cracked #3 cylinder wall. This is unfortunately a fairly common problem with these cars. This block has been machined and sleeved with high performance Darton sleeves, and re-assembled with all new bearings, rings, seals, gaskets, and ARP head studs. The following upgrades and preventative maintenance were done at the time of the motor work:

-New OEM clutch kit
-New OEM clutch slave cylinder
-New OEM angle gear collar sleeve
-New timing belt and tensioner
-New upgraded single-mass flywheel from ViVA Performance
-New upgraded large front-mount intercooler kit from ViVA Performance
-New HKS sequential blow-off valve and turbo compressor bypass valve blocking plate
-3" mandrel bent catback exhaust with Magnaflow resonator
-New front brake pads and rotors

I have receipts for most, if not all of the parts above from the previous owner, including the machine work and installation of the Darton sleeves. The car now has just over 74k miles, and in the past almost 2 years I have owned the car, I have done the following maintenance and upgrades (also have all receipts for these items):

-Upgraded 3" SNABB turbo air intake pipe
-All new silicone vacuum lines
-New OEM exhaust cam reset valve
-New OEM complete PCV system
-New OEM front lower control arm bushings
-New OEM upper engine mount
-New upgraded strut bar conversion kit
-New OEM front axle seals
-New OEM passenger side front axle
-New upgraded XC90 front axle bolts
-New Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires (~5k miles)
-Powdercoated 18" Volvo Pegasus wheels (Anthracite with subtle blue metal flake)
-Painted calipers (Blue)
-Prosport electric boost gauge
-New spark plugs

When I bought the car, the rebuilt motor had right at 3k miles on it (now has about 18k). Since I have owned it, the motor oil has been changed every 3k miles with Mobil1 full synthetic. The interior is in great shape. The exterior is in pretty good shape, but has a couple blemishes here and there, as do most cars its age. I have never raced the car or taken it to the track, and to my knowledge, it has never been in an accident.

I haven't been driving the car all that often, as I need something bigger to tote tools around for work, and the occasional ladder. So my suburban sees more miles, but with the price of gas, it's not economical for me to be driving around a full-size with a big block every day. Therefore, I've got my eye on a 4Runner. The majority of the common weak points in this car have been eliminated, or addressed already from a maintenance standpoint, and this car should provide years of reliable service. I don't currently have any interior pictures, but can get some upon request. Asking $17,000. ***le is clean and in my possession. Not interested in trades. No tire-kickers and no joy-riders. I am on here occasionally to check out the happenings, but phone is usually the best way to reach me. Thanks for looking.

Friday Bump. Will be at Cars and Coffee at the Music Factory in Charlotte tomorrow morning. Come check it out. This car will surprise you in person!

Bump for best reasonable offer. Only trade I will consider (plus a considerable amount of cash) is a 1996-2002, low mileage, 4wd, excellent condition Toyota 4Runner Limited or SR5.

Somebody here needs a good solid DD. This one will pin you to the back of your seat and leave your bimmer buddies in the rear view... :****:

Forgot to mention that I have a full size spare tire (Continental Extreme Contact) mounted on a color matched powder coated factory 18" Pegasus wheel.

Friday Bump. Going to try to get some interior pics uploaded this weekend.

Was not able to get any interior photos this weekend, but I was able to track down some photos of the motor rebuild from the previous owner. Enjoy!
