2008 6.4 power stroke transmission question

A buddy of mine is having trans issues. He's got a 2008 6.4 power stroke and the trans is a 5r110 torqshift.

Here's what he sent me about it:

It doesn't shift right going from fourth to fifth and it doesn't shift down to first sometimes. when you come to a stop it will only shift down to third and I have to put it in neutral and back to drive. Also, sometimes it shifts first to fourth back to first then shifts normal 12345 then convertor locks up.

Have you checked the fluid ?

Just changed the fluid to see if it'd help. No luck and no recalls.

H&s mini max tuner with kem times. The tuner has been on for about 20k. It's been doing this for About 2k
