2010 Ford F-150 FX4. $6,000 Located in Opelika Alabama.
5.4 Liter w/ 289k miles. Second owner, purchased in 2013 with 217,000 miles, previous owner was a traveling salesman. No kidding.
The Good: Everything works as it should. Runs good, transmission shifts fine, and 4WD is in good shape. No check engine or warning lights, gets 16/17 mpg if driven right. Heat and A/C are in good shape. New brakes f/r, tires are a couple months old. It's a good looking truck, color matched. Clean Title in hand, Two sets of keys.
The Bad: It's got almost 300k miles. Burns 1 quart of oil between services (3,000 miles) Rear driveshaft slip yoke has a common bump when coming to an abrupt stop or when going from reverse to drive quickly. YouTube says you can pull the driveshaft and grease it, haven't messed with it. Power Steering leaks but you'll know when to add some when it starts whining. Normal paint chips from a 300k mile vehicle. Cam Phasers are notorious for being a problem for the 5.4 Triton but these haven't been an issue yet. Small tear in the driver seat.
