Just curious- why switch it to a gooseneck hitch? Guess it keeps it simpler.
I only have a bumper pull camper, so this is new to me.

Generally the switch from 5th to goose is for simplicity and bed space when not hooked up to the trailer. 5th wheel hitches are heavy and cumbersome.

No first hand experience either way but have friends that's switched their 5ths to goose and loved the switch and others that switched back to using 5ths after a handful of trips as a goose.

I will never switch back to 5th no hitch taking up the whole bed of the truck and it's easier to hook up and this goosneck hitch on the camper has air bags in it so it actually rides better than the 5th wheel

I appreciate the feedback. Learned something new and will keep that in mind.
