any one made any cable shifters using parts from McMaster Carr????

i was thinking of ordering and trying some of these

http://www.mcmaster.com/#throttle-cable/=7tkma8

Cable Cable Core Max. Push/Pull Bend Lg. Ht. Dia. Mounting
Lg. (A) OD (B) Dia. (C) Stroke Load, lbs. Radius (D) (E) (F) Thread Sz.

Lever Controlled
7'3" 0.19" .054" 1.69" 20/20 2" 3.187" 3.44" ___ ___

PART # = 2461K21

i will have to measure the stroke, but I am afraid the 1.69" will not cover all of the required shifts

thoughts???? Thanks

These seem to work great:
Cables are McMaster-Carr, part #1338K21, "Low Friction Threaded-Mount Push/Pull Cable, 1/4"-28 Threaded Ends, 4' Overall Length"
Clevises are McMaster-Carr, part #6071K12, "Forged Steel Clevis Rod End, 1/4"-28 Female Thread Size, 2" Length"
Look at this thread
