205 twin stick

You talking about the shifter or the shift rails. I modified my rails myself. Its easy and there is a lot of info how. As far as shifters I was going to order a set from JB custom fab.

Two stock shifters are easily/cheaply adapted. Couple of bronze bushings, longer bolt, bronze washers, 4 1/4" heim joints.

I modified my stock rails too. I have triple sticks from offroad designs.

Same here i modified my rails and made my own shifters out of some flat stock and tierod end from a lawn mower ;D.. laugh if you want but it works great ill try and post pics ....just be extra carefull when or if you decide to grind your rails, do it slow and check it often or you'll be able to shift front and rear in high or low range at the same time and have a lot of broke parts. I was to cheap to buy the after market stuff.

Re: Re: 205 twin stick

I went with the jb fab cable shifters and like them a lot even ordered their shift rails and just got them in the mail.

If you want to modifie it yourself , grinde or mill the flats on the rear shift rail 7/16" longer than they are ( go the way the angle on the flat is) you can usually see wear marks the direction you want to go , also making the detents a little deeper seems to make it not pop outta gear
