Sold/Expired 22r/22re

I'm gonna need a motor before long. So I'm looking early. I want a good running, no leaks or knocks. 22r or a 22re. And I don't want to break the bank.

What weong with yours? Cheaper to rebuild before it blows. And they are cheap and easy to rebuild

Had coolant in the oil, replaced head gasket, still had water in the oil. Pulled the head again, had it machined, only took .001" off of it. Still has low compression on number 4, with some blow by, rings are probably shot.
