Do you want to sell that sammi? You and I were the only ones to make it up Broke foot at HPO today! Those BFG`s on that sammi made me look silly! DJ
 
Here is a dark pic of the wheels all cleaned up

Wheels have 4 coats of black and 2 coats of clear. Rings have 8 (!) coats of primer and 4 coats of champagne silver paint :****:

Very good question and concern! from my experience Cromo axles held up fine. Rear ring and pinion was my struggle. I found that 529s suck! 4:11 are much stronger. I'm running a 4.3 so I was asking a lot out of the yotas.

Im planning to run this same wheel/tire setup on a 4.3 4runner buggy (linked front & rear with no body) with 9.5" toyota axles. Any idea what your rig weighs? Im hoping i can get this fat turd down to 3700#'s (thats a pound sign, not a damn hashtag).
