4.0 serpentine belt problem

My serpentine belt keeps jumping track on the harmonic balancer (towards to the engine block) Causing it to rub and eventually break apart. The HB has been replaced a few months ago. By looking at it running everything looks straight and in line and normal.. :scratchhead: Anyone else have experience with this? Thanks for reading!

My guess would be something's not lined up....check veeeerrrryyyy closely...Did this problem start after the balancer was replaced???:corn:

Check ALL the pulleys. Wouldn't surprise if it was a bad Power Steering pulley.

Is the idler puller or tension pulley loose? Something isn't lined up or a bearing is worn out.

Maybe the idler puller bearing or the fan bearing is going bad and walking in and out? Waterpump dying?

Yes it did happen one time before I replaced the balancer. New idler pulley. Should the power steering pump pulley spin freely with no belt on it? Thanks for the replys guys!

Yes, it should to a certain extent...you will feel some slight resistance from the fluid inside the pump going through the pump...

the p/s pump should spin, do any of them pull in/out? i would spin the water pump pulley as well to see if the bearing is worn out
