4.3 intake question

I have a 95 tbi 4.3 that just blew in my crawler it has a edelbrock 2111 4 barrel intake on it...I found a 97 vortec 4.3 for sale which can't use my intake...can I redrill the heads to accept my intake?...or is this something a machine shop should do?..I just didn't want to spend 300 on the rite intake if I could make this one work

I picked up a brand new 97 4.3 intake from summit for $200 last summer.

I would eat the 2 bills and not drill and tap those heads. I think switching to vertical is a lot tougher than you think

Do not touch the heads!!!!! The # & location differentiation of the intake bolts between vortec & non isn't worth the potential for issues with already leak prone vortec heads in my opinion

I don't know the differences in 4.3 - 5.7 vortec heads but I had a set drilled with not problems???
