Get some good cobalt drills and centerdrill. Not bad at all. I have thoughr at first i would use carbide drills but the break through lunge was killing them. So I backed down to a cobalt drill works good.

Im not sure what welding would do to it. Its not hard to drill. Make ot removable for less headaches on the future.

I'm told it welds fine. Buckets and dump beds are hard faced all the time on top of this material. Still going to be stronger than mild steel. Weld washers are cheaper than drill bits
