Sold/Expired 5.3 to th400 adapter

they bolt right up with one missing bolt on the upper left ear. Or are you looking for a flywheel spacer???

AA has a flywheel, bolt and crank bushing kit. Summit carries it for under $200 iirc and typically has them in stock in GA. Should only be a day or 2 shipping.

You can get the spacer and bolts from summit for around $50 I think. That's the route I went and had to oblong the holes in the flex plate. If I had it to do over though I'd get the flywheel kit because I had to cut a spacer to go between the motor and trans because the tc was mashing against the flex plate.

That should not have been necessary. I've never heard of anyone having to do that.

My TH400 is mated to my LS2 using all factory GM parts, nothing from Summit or AA, that I sourced on forums from people giving them away for free, I only paid shipping.

I need a fly wheel. So If i was to junk yarding what should I look for?? Or just but the kit from AA or Summit.
AA sells the kit for $140 Product# 712500A4 Which comes with flywheel, bolts and spacer.

Depends on what your time is worth. I thought the AA kit was more like $200+. For $150 I'd probably just get it and save the time.

If you go junkyarding you're looking for the flat flexplate with crankshaft spacer. I'm sorry, I don't recall what engine / trans combos came with it. I want to say it came in 2500 and 3500 trucks though. Mine came out of a 2002 3500 SRW with 6.0. I want to say the trans might have been a 4L80, does that make sense? It's very common.

Here you go, even cheaper and it comes from a reputable source:

It appears that it comes with the spacer and new bolts. The spacer is pressed on so I can't imagine them wanting installers doing that and possibly warping the plate in the process. I would call to confirm that is does come with the spacer though.

FYI, the bolt hole diameters did not match my torque converter so I drilled both the converter and flexplate to 1/2" and used bigger bolts. They did line up perfectly though, no elongating holes required.

I had never heard of it either. It may have been the t/c I had but all the research I did didn't show anyone having that issue...

Just for my own future reference, did you egt the one from Rockauto and, if so, did you confirm that it came with the spacer?
