Sounds like too long to me, they should atleast be communicating better IMHO. Especially since they have had your money for 5 months

Probably best.
But if you paid in full up front you should be taken care of a little better than what your describing.
Just remeber there are two sides to every story.

Maybe find some people who have dealt with the builder in the past and PM them.

Some builders do this to all their customers. Serious question, did you pay for a chassis or for customer service?
