The more I see this come together, the more I feel like it needs one of those old school sun/moon visor things. I generally don€™t like them. But I feel like I would dig the hell out of it on this truck.

I would rock that and the topper, but the bed is 5 inches shorter now...

Bedsides complete, tailgate in place, played with some polishing compound and ceramic coating- paint cleaned up nice yet still retained the patina. .. and cleaned the shop finally...

But I am! Buy one with some resin, hardener and mat. I'll come up and shorten it for ya one Saturday. I'd do it for free and burn 2 tanks of fuel just to make that happen!

Whenever you get ready for some paint work i know a guy... that would be willing to do some bartering on some suspension and sheet metal work (inner fenders) on a pretty unique ole Dodge truck .....

1.5" dimples with 3/8 bead roll channeled for water drainage.

Yes. There will be some steel panels on the engine doghouse sides; for hopefully a little less heat transfer.

The cup holder piece is kind of the keystone of the center tunnel section (albeit, the last piece that would be removed, so as to be a fully functional vehicle when all the panels are removed for cleaning.) So I added these skirts to aid in fastening the lower pieces.

Small storage spot below/ behind cup holders.

Tried to do this tunnel panel in one shot, but quickly determined wasn't going to happen, therefore I flanged all the sides and made two pieces.

Drivers side aluminum is done, templates are close for passenger side. Try to knock it out today. Then onto the steel engine covers.

.... unfortunately, once the seats are in, you'll never see it...????

That's it, let's scrap the whole damn truck... Lol. A whole $25 with of sheet aluminum... total in scrap, lol.



In all seriousness, that spot drives me crazy. If it was covered by the seat, I could live with it, but its right beside the switched ignition power, I'll see it every time I look down... It'll probably get a little bit welded in there to cover it.

You may have already thought of this...but I have some experience with tight footwells laughing1 you are going to want to make sure the ergonomics is right for longer trips with the pedals being off to the side and tight to each other/the firewall like that. I had to make absolute sure that my knee/side of shin have something to rest on with the gas pedal being towards the left like that. Your leg will get tired really fast if there is nothing to rest it against since it isnt just out in front of you like a wider buggy would be. I cant tell how far in there you sit from pictures so it may already rest on that doghouse panel...but if it doesnt, you may want to try and figure out something now that will give you a little more comfort on longer rides. A heel plate or ankle plate may be enough, but with heat that may limit you to long pants/boots with something extra there touching you. If there is nothing supporting your leg and it is off to the side like that, its gonna get uncomfortable on longer trail days...at least it does for me. I also have bad knees...so you may be OK. Just my $.02

Looking absolutely killer though. That dash work is great. I cant wait to climb all over this thing some time

good deal - should be comfortable then! I have ridden in some buggies that were super uncomfortable ergonomics wise, glad you thought ahead on that!

And no RBD for me...I havent been on that ride in a few years, we do our own thing that weekend with some other folks - try to avoid the bigger crowded events, however now that they arent doing the bouncer launch and break fest; I would be willing to check it out again...that BK park looks like it has some really good potential, I need to check it out
