I have the c0305 miss-fire no. 5 cylinder.

Engine is pretty new long block with about 20k. Original manifold wires and ecu.

I have replaced: cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and fuel inj spider. Spider showed signs of leakage, manif was real clean around no 5 injector.

Compression is 150.

The brake booster line is pretty new and no leaks, "comes off no 5 cylinder intake port".

The code keeps returning after about three minutes run time.

Idle is way too fast 1000 to 1200rpm.

Fuel pressure drop test holds 50psi for hours after charging so i don't think the new spider leaks.

So if any of you chevy gurus out there have any ideas as to what to look at or test?

Bad/grounding-out plug wire or poor connection on either end? Bad/dirty plug? Issue with distributor cap in area of #5 post?
