I didn't ride a lot this car, because I have a lot of problem with my engine and my dana300.
So, I've decided to change all of this.
I will build a new rig with a mopar 360LA, a TF727 and an ATLAS.
I will use the axel, suspension, steering and so on from this proto, because my job is to build car and I would like to change totaly the design.

Thanks 8)

As it is here, somewhere between 330 and 350HP.

And that is what is hittin tha ground ,,,them are baddass motors ,,,, I would ask were you found tha 6.9 but since you are cross pound it prolly wasn,t hard ;D

you still got the CIS injection on it :dunno:

This engine is a HUGE rarity ! If I remember well, only 7800. I have the number 125 8)
I can't say where I found it, Mercedes collectors will kill me :p

It's a totaly crazy engine, because even at 1000 rpm, the tork is really big !
Anyway, I will sell it (or keep it for another project).

Yes they only came into the USA in 1979 & 80 in the 116 chassis ,,,, TOUGH engine ,,, 6 bolt mains,,,forged pistons,,,big billit crank,,,beefy rods,,,

and with the factory CIS injection that sumbitch should run even UPSIDE DOWN ;D

THANKS fer sharin yer builds with us man :dblthumb:

Via google !
And also because I really like bouncer, and here there is a lot !

zukiscott : you forget the dry sump ;)
The engine when I got it :

And after a while, headers, pulleys and so on, done by myself in my shop :

That complety true for the injection. It's maybe not really efficient for horve power, but it's incredibely reliable !

Out of curiosity, how'd you'd find Hardline?

He has a pirate4x4 decal in the floorpan of that beast, and I'm assuming he figured out there was a better place to talk about rock bouncing (hardline) since Pirate is mostly filled with rock bouncing hating asshats molaugh

THANKS fer sharin the engine pics :dblthumb:

What problems are you having with the 6.9 engine :dunno: ,,,, "I can understand problems with the dana 300 though" :puke:

The main pb is the price of the parts...
Only the water pomp : 2000 dollars !!!
The header joints : 1000 dollars.....
And there is no "racing" parts for this engine. So no evolution....

   IS that in US Dollars or in France prices???

US dollars.....

it's easy to understand, there was only 8000 engines...
So there is no part available.
Each time, the part you need as to be done. So it cost A LOT

with my mopar 360LA, there is a list of available parts as long as my arm, and a lot of possibilities of improvement, for not so much dollars...

so, rebuild this engine gave me a lot of fun, it is a fabulous engine, but I was stupid to put it in a bouncer....
I will sell it for collectors or guys with a lot of money ;D

Yea a rig needs easily available, reasonably priced everyday wear items , and the 6.9 is not a high RPM engine,GREAT low end torque maker "400 lb at 1800 RPM" but NOT a great bouncer RPM engine for shure.

but the 6.9 in a "trail / crawl" only rig would woop ass :dblthumb:
