I use Gimp for all my graphics. http://www.gimp.org/

It's a free OpenSource (Photoshop) like tool that runs on Linux (Sys5 based unix systems), OS and windows.

U can download it free via the link above. it takes a bit to get use to learn it. It's not like mspaint or a like tool.....
