AOP - Side x Side Series Event #1 - March 29, 2014

The AOP will be hosting 3 side by side events in 2014. These events will be a mix of timed trail runs. We will have 3 classes.......800, 900, and Open Class. This is not a points series this year but will evolve toward that in 2015. Basically this is a show up and take the money deal. The entry fee will be $60 per driver and will be a 100% payback per class. We will also donate $5 per wrist band sold at these events to be divided proportionally between the classes. I think it'll be better if the stock 1000 can run in the 900 class. Hell a 900 xp will smoke my wildcat.

Ok folks. We have about a month and a half to go before we kick this side by side deal off. If you are interested in running please message us your name here or email us at [email protected]. The entry fee to race will be $60 per unit with a 100% payback to the top 5 finishers. We will also donate $5 per wrist band sold to be divided proportionally between the classes. We have already chosen the 2 trails that will be used. This will be a timed event and the combined time of both run will determine the finishing order. Both trails that have been chosen are moderate trails with technical difficulties. If you think you have what it takes and can drive that side by side come on. We will release the rules for these events by the end of the week.

So if there is 20 rigs in a class, that would is 600$ to the winner and the other are broke down from there. If there are 20 rigs per class and 1000 spectators. That is 5000$ divided 3 ways and given to each class in the same percentage as the winnings. Basically the winner would get an additional 833$. That is if I tracking what Tom told me. Has there ever been a side x side event with that kind of payout? :****:

We are getting closer to this event and the calls and entries are growing. Make sure you get your name on the list by emailing your name to [email protected]. Please reference what class you wish to be in....800, 900, or Open. Here are the basic information and rules to enter.

-It is $60 to enter the race. This entry fee is 100% payback to the top 5 positions per class.
-All UTV's must have a 6 point style roll cage or a stock cage modified for additional safety. (Example...stock Razr 800 or 900 cages not allowed. XP1000 stock cages are allowed.
-All UTV's must have doors or factory door nets.
-No internal engine modifications allowed in the 800 or 900 class. (internally modified engines in 800 or 900 must move up to open class)
-A minimum of a 4 point harness system.
-Full face helmet required.
-Eye protection required.

***All drivers will run a total of 2 timed trails. The combined time of both trails will determine finishing position.
***The entry fee to the park will be $20 per person for event day only. The park will donate 25% of these fees for additional payouts. This fund will be divided proportionally across the 3 classes.
***Driver meeting at 9am CST. Runs start at 10am CST.
***Payout by position
1st 50%
2nd 20%
3rd 15%
4th 10%
5th 5%
