So I have my custom 35spline shafts. It was my first time doing that so I measured 10 times. But in sliding them into the axle I want to make sure the shaft doesn't go in too far and limit the spline engagement.
So here is my ideas.
1: put a tack weld by one of the ends of the splines to stop it from going in past the splines
2: measure the distance from between splines in the spool and cut a spacer that would float inside the spool preventing the shafts from going in to deep.
3: drill a small hole in the spool and put a stop nut in it.
My favorite idea is the weld. I figure one tack won't hurt. And will give me an exact length for any future shafts
