As of now, I am gonna put a PBB sticker on the side and hope it builds it self :fawkdancesmiley:

Thanks to Just Diffs (who's a vendor on here now) I got my 8.8 Detroit and 4:56 from them on PBB.

FWD a little bit.... decided to go 5:13's since the 44 and 8.8 were now going under the Jeep w/5sp Manual instead of 3sp Auto.

Craig at Ridgeline Motor Sports, also in WA hooked me up with the 5.13's, install kit... and even stripped down the packaging so it all fit in a flat rate box... but most important.... MORE STICKERS FTW :fawkdancesmiley:

Sweet. I really like my grizzly locker in my 60. It drives better and is much "tighter" than the detroit I used to have in the front.

No long arms? What coils are you running in that thing?

I have a question for the Jeep people, should run a 1" MML to help with the angle of the drive line? i think the coils will settle under 3" of lift and i will not be running a slip yoke. i will not leave the tcase dropped, it will be tucked or at "stock height" when compared to frame rails. the rear drive line will be a little shorter as the doubler isnt alot longer than a stock 231 w/slip yoke eliminator.

not sure about a 1" or so BL in order to get the doubler tucked, i do plan on cutting the floor.

I have the 8.8 pinion angle at 16* IIRC, its been a while since i tacked the 8.8 brackets on.

no karl, no long arms as of now. want to get it on all 4's and moving as soon as i can. also i am about to bust budget and those adj short arms were given to me by PO as take offs when i bought the jeep. the drive lines wont be cheap and i still have to order the anti rock sways. i have the doubler done, just need to figure out if i can make the Hurst Tranny shifters work for cable shifters. the NWF cable shifters are tha ***s but they are pricey.

when i have it rolling i wiould like to eventually stretch front 5" and rear 3" ...give or take. thats when i will build mid or long arms. most likely when i am back in the lower 48 though. it came with 3.5" coils. want to run 37" Iroks or the new MTR

I would run a motor mount lift. Just remember it will place a lot of stress on the stock tranny mount. You might want to look at upgrading the tranny mount or at least carry a spare tranny mount.

Back when my rig was in the same configuration as yours, I would go through a tranny mount every 6 months or so. And if I flopped the rig it was guaranteed to break.

ya i am gonna do something a little different with that mount as i plan to add a xmember for the D300 thats gonna be behind the NP231. we'll see what i come up with for tuck/belly skid.

thank you

here's the 231/300 doubler i got my hands on. went through/rebuilt both cases.

The "block" for the 231 that comes in the box 4 rocks kit was not welded on the inside and the welds on the outside were cracked. so cleaned it up and got it ready to be welded again. Gonna be running both cases flipped. stock gears, one stick for the 231 and twins on the D300.

cleaned the cases, primer, some bling'n paint. i heard that bling was almost as valuable as stickers. stayed with a lighter color so i can see whats leaking/not leaking easier.

the night i ended up in the ER i got the D30/front suspension pulled and had the D44 prepped for brackets and test fitting. welded up the D44 diff breather and moved it so it fit with the truss.
