broken cv axles

Ok I have a 2000 GMC with 2in of lift and 33s It has the 4.6 v6 and i have now broken my 2nd cv axle. I am wondering if the 5.3 vortec has stronger cv axles and if i can use them. Any info will be helpful.

Is your 2" in torsion bar keys? Your problem is more than likely your cv axles binding.... Too much angle. It's more common on cranked torsion bars than it is on 6" lift. Post a pic of your cv axles and the angle... They are weak to begin with, any extra strain and they go pow

all 1/2 ton chevy cv shafts are the same.

i bet you are binding them up, they wont handle much angle.

RCV makes some CV shafts for 1/2 ton chevys...

They are $2000.

They are correct.. all the 1/2 ton CVs are the same .. you can have some spacers made to run 3/4 ton CVS but I'm betting like they said you are cranked too much causing the axles to be in a bind.. if you wanna leave it the same go to orielys and get the lifetime warranty ones and just replaces them as needed
