when a vehicle is listed as totaled the State Patrol gets pics from the insurance company.
Places like Co Part, IAA, etc get the cars from the insurance co.
you buy the vehicle,
get assorted papers from said CoPart, IAA. take the car home
you buy all the parts to repair,
keep all reciepts
repair vehicle
call State Patrol inspection station and make appointment.
you get a trip permit to drive or tow the vehiche to the appt
show the inspector ALL paper work. inspector looks at his computer, your paper work, inspects the vehicle
inspector passes vehicle if all is well
gives you more paper work
go to DOL and pay fees det license, registration
4 to 6 weeks get title in the mail....
you go play in your rebuilt salvaged titled vehicle not caring about anybody else having fun
