Can a ***le be obtained in Alabama for a rzr? I understand they come with the MSO and the bill of sale new, but if I were to re-sell a RZR out of state I'd need a ***le correct? Or sell it to someone who wants to get a loan from thier bank to buy it I'd need a ***le?

All you can ever get is a MSO. All the ones you see out of state that are tagged and ***led have been inspected at the DMV and have been issued a ***le.

I sold a 4 wheeler out of state from ms to al all that was needed was a bill of sale... thats all ive ever done with anything that wasnt a vehicle

A looked into this a good bit. Even started a thread on here about it. Search newb! :flipoff2:

It's almost impossible to get a ***le in alabama. One guy around bham got his done because he knew someone at DMV. I think that's the only one known to be done in alabama. Had a regular tag and errthing.

Really? I tried to get a dirt bike tagged that I was gonna do the dual sport conversion kit on and they said there was absolutely no way to get it tagged in Alabama if the MSO said FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY. And my mom knows a whole lot of people at the courthouse and DMV :dunno: I finally just gave up and got rid of the bike after much frustration!

I'm on my phone or I'd look. Find my thread. I'm pretty sure I had links to that guy. I even found his number and offered to pay him to do another one. Said it couldn't be done. He sold his on eBay a while back.

What he said. Got a dirtbike and did the same thing. Got it inspected by police and all like they say do and boom what he said above.
I also have major hookup as in like one of my students that I helped get a scholarship for and now a job that pays 3x more than I make mom is over the tag. They said I could send the paperwork in but it would get denied at the state level.

Buyer handles all that ***le issuance crap in their own state. Like they said above you can't get one here anyways.

Or sell it to someone who wants to get a loan from thier bank to buy it I'd need a ***le? All they need is the MSO and a bill of sale, the bank can search for a lein on it just like a VIN on a car.

It would be sweet to be able to Tag a RZR and cruise the neigborhood or take a quick drive to the parts store or drive thru. :dblthumb:

I'll dig it out and look at it, but Im pretty sure I looked for the "Offroad use only" or something like that and couldnt find it. Looked like a regular car ***le. I "financed" it on one of those Yamaha credit card promotions "Zero % for 6 month" deals, paid it off in 3 payments and the ***le came from a finance company in Colorado.

I'll look into it tho, never thought about getting it tagged because where mom and dad live everyone rides atvs on the road everywhere.

Georgia and Tennessee are a lot different than alabama. Look on the rzr forum I posted above. Posts of info about it, including the loophole in GA.

True, there are several tagged rzrs with street tires running around here

I have sold several used units out of state, if you sell out of state and the state requires a ***le you have to take the MSO and the bill of sale to a natary public and have it notarized, the state will then issue a ***le with a notarized Bill of sale and MSO< hope this helps

Ended up buying a 2012 from MS with a legit state ***le with no "offroad only" text anywhere on it. No clue if I can get a ***le in my name in Alabama or not?
