My Dads truck broke down a few months ago, it needed a fuel pump and not wanting to drop the tank in the drive way I had him tow it to a dealer in the area he was in. I know a few people in the service department there so they fixed it for him for the same price I could have had it done at my dealer, and saved him the tow bill to Seattle. When they asked for a contact number he specified that they don't give the number to the sales department. Every thing was fine untill this week. He's gotten 2 phone calls now lie this;
"Mr. Curtis our records show that your truck was in the shop recently and it now has over 100k miles on it, it's time to replace it. Why don't you come in and take a look at what we have to offer."
One call wouldn't really bother me but two in a week is a bit much. Not to mention vehicles last much longer than 100k miles now, are they trying to say that their trucks are crap? I can't stand pushy sales people so this got me going tonight when I got home and heard it.
