catalytic converts

hey i was wondering if a catalytic converter has any effect on gas milage i have tryed to look into it and find out my self but i cant seem to find anything on it cuz i have a 3.0 v6 and i took it off and i cant remeber if i was getting any better milage with it on? any info on this

on todays newer vehicles, cats do not have any real significant effect on fuel economy, or power. They are calibrated for them. Removing them can in fact have a detrimental effect.
