I wouldn’t be too worried about a 300k 8.3 as long as it carries good oil pressure and not a whole lot of blow by, it’s a baby “big truck” motor, it’s sleeved so rebuilds are possible unlike the smaller 5.9 which, as good as it was, is technically a throw away motor (not sleeved). Being that it’s a 93 that motor should have Bosch MW pump, it’s not the “grail” P7100 ( those pumps you can just slide the fuel plate forward for more hp like the 12v dodges of the era) but on the back of the pump there’s a large screw with a jam nut, turn that in a few times and it’ll wake it up.
