Anyone done it? Was it worth it? What was involved? Been finding some deals on newer wood bandsaws. Common one has been the Delta 14"

Just find a blade the same length, width, etc but with a lower TPI and one that is designed to cut metal. I do it all the time on mine.

If your worried, put a reostat on it. Should be fine though.
I made my delta 14 inch wood band saw in to a metal band saw. By adding a jack shaft, a larger pully to the driven pully and a good metal blade. I have used the hell out of it. With no problems. it was easy to do and only took a afternoon to do wants I got the parts.
