We had one of our companies that we work for, had one worker test positive and we had 12 people working in close proximity to him. He was originally diagnosed for Pneumonia and re-diagnosed 6 days later as COVID-19 positive. We have sent all of our workers home immediately. He should have stayed his ass at home, but instead he went back to work and screwed his whole company and ours as well.

Yet the Doctors who send these idiots back put into the public have no accountability once so ever. Glorified mechanics is all most of them are yet their word is taken as law

Thank you all for sharing this. I traveled for work in late January and when returning home, was like you all, fever, aches, sinus- tested negative for flu. Got shots and meds, over the weekend got worse and slept on couch for two days to give my wife some space..... Monday back to doctor and he said “whatever” this is he is seeing people two-three times and whatever it is isn’t being kicked by normal meds. I got another round of shots and meds..... it finally subsided. Seems really odd that folks had “non-diagnosable” Illness.
Just glad everyone’s better and still able to enjoy your family and friends.

IF (and it's a big IF), this coronavirus has already made a round through the south/southeast (and it seems that a lot of people in southern CA had similar unknown viral pneumonia), then we won't see the big influx of patients ?

Either way, the nursing homes were already having a lot of pneumonia related deaths this year, be it from flu or other viruses.

That seems like it would be crazy thinking but, doctors and hospitals are taking the most drastic measures to prevent the spreading of this virus and only sending home administrative non-essential employees. My neighbor works for UAB eye clinic for 20 plus years now and is working out of her home because she is a non-essential employee.

Michigan just extended the lock down until the end of April. But here in Michigan if you have more than on property you can legally travel between them.

My Company is on the list, one of our drivers just passed Indian Hills Golf Course in the Boro. He said every hole was full. If people do not start taking this serious, we will be on lockdown for a lot longer IMO.

supposedly the golf courses are closing this weekend.

I think it's BS, as there is no reason for people to congregate on a golf course, just keep your distance.

Southern Hills (in cookeville) has their flags just stuck in the green, no holes to hit your ball into, so you don't have to touch the flag or reach into the same hole as everyone else.

Got an in law who works at a vet, she works up front and sells dog clothes.

Another works as a grounds keeper at a golf course.

All the golf courses here are open, and packed. I'd say lots of people are off work so why not golf?? I don't understand why they would close them or even worse is the closing of offroad parks. I can't think of any place I'd feel safer than up on a mountain in Harlan.

I work at UPS and I'm considered essential. They even gave us paperwork to show if we are stopped if Kentucky goes on Lockdown. Currently the state is under a "Safe at Home Order". If us UPSers stop going in to work, things may get bad. We currently have a contract with the government to ship medical supplies and equipment. We are also receiving anywhere from two to three flights a day more than usual from Asia and those flights contain a lot of supplies. Our volumes are way up since most folks are now purchasing online and this place hasn't stopped since the stay at home orders and store closings. I would say people would be pretty upset if they couldn't get their Amazon fix.

Yes! I do custom remodeling work. I don’t deem that as essential, but the entire rest of the construction industry doesn’t thing covid-19 is a big deal.

I have a friend in the N.E. and up there stores like Walmart can sell essential goods (food) but can’t sell the bull**** like TVs and gardening soil. There are signs up that if you want that stuff you have to go buy it on Walmart.com. The right way to do it imo

This. Around my area construction is booming.

I currently drive a concrete truck, and we are wide open. Only problem I have seen with this is, everybody that is staying at home now and watching these home remodeling shows now think they can finish their own concrete. Well guess what, they can't.....and it is killing our scheduling and time management each day.

Been off of work for a few weeks. I work at Hyundai in Montgomery. One coworker a Korean has died from it and two more co workers are on ventilators. We're supposedly going back to work on April 13th and working 21 hour work weeks until July shutdown. With all the shelves being emptied in stores i decided to plant a big garden. With schools cancelled the rest of the year and this extra time off it'll give my family something to do that'll be productive down the line if it gets bad and we get hungry. I hate that the buggy I'm building will be on the backburner but it's all good. The Good Lord will provide.✌

We've been on "lockdown/stay at home" for over a week now in PA, specifically Lancaster county. Working for Amtrak, I'm considered essential which is nice to keep a paycheck coming in but I keep my distance from everyone as much as possible. I also find myself standing up wind of others whenever possible. One of my workers is currently off with symptoms and waiting on results. I think there's about 100 people in our company that are quarantined, mostly from NYC but Philly is getting hit now too. Raush Creek and AOAA closed at least a week ago. My SIL works accounting in a cabinet shop. They applied for and were granted a waiver to be considered essential which is BS. Just shows that people still aren't taking it seriously. Y'all stay safe and wash your hands!

They are saying this thing will be back once or twice a year... we can't shut the world down everytime. People die, it's a fact of life. This thing has a 5% fatality rate of those sick enough to even be tested... which means the real # is much lower considering 26% of the people who have it don't even know it.

If the entire US caught it (which they wont) and 5% died we would still have more people living in the US than we did 10 years ago....

You do realize that's roughly 17,500,000 people dead. That aint no small number, in fact that is more than 12x the total number of US combat fatalities incurred during war since 1775 combined and 43x the total US fatalities in WWII alone.

I am aware. The US would replace that population in 5 years or less. Remember, that # is only if every single person caught it. (Not gonna happen). There have be multiple pandemics that have wiped out 30% or more of populations. This is minor in comparison.

Theoretically yes, but unless you believe in reincarnation your mother, father, aunt, uncle, etc won’t be replaced

No one, nor anything in this world is really essential that’s on these lists. Kinda crazy to think, but just a hundred years ago (a little more really) people actually grew their own food, mended their own fences, and built whatever they needed.

More people should be happy that they have their health, take time to plan for their future & start realizing the important things in life. *****ing about what everyone else has, complaining about what they are doing and hyper-focusing on everyone else is part of the problem. Til-Tok, FB, Instagram and all the other filler is just that.

Get back to living your best life, wash your hands and don’t touch your face. All things we were told in kindergarten and all things we don’t do regularly, even as adults.
