Can I ask you a question. Does anyone have an actual family member that’s been infected?
Not your cousins aunts doctor, but actual first hand relative?
My sister in law tested positive for it and strep. She was over it all and back to normal in about 2 days.

Updates? Everyone back to work?
As for Corona virus, Still working form home. Verizon is playing with the idea of starting to move people back as of the 1st. But, it got put back on hold. Rioting is about 2 blocks from my office in downtown Nash. Last Wednesday I saw a guy walk past my truck carrying a machete while I was trying to pull out of the alley by my office. About 4 hours later I saw on the news where he attacked a white couple around the corner from me and almost killed them both. **** is getting real scary real quick.

And the idiot with the machete thinks that will make people and cops less likely to profile? He is in fact proveing any that do that correct and making it worse for everyone else.

Total derail here...

Exactly. I saw a woman responding to a picture on facebook of some officers kneeling. They had crossed the line and were siding with the protesters. She was going on tangent after tangent of how it's too late and that won't work anymore. So I politely asked her what it will take to bring a peaceful resolution to this. Her response: I don't know, but we're going to keep going til someone figures it out.

I understand the long term goal and I get it. My nephew is black. I have friends that are black. I've seen first hand how they are treated. I've seen the looks and heard the comments I get when I'm out with my nephew. People are incredibly ignorant.

I just have no idea what kind of immediate act it's going to take in order to settle it down. And I think Trump's attitude of "well, I'll just shove the military down their throats until they get back in line" is a HORRIBLE idea. It's just going to piss them off even more.

Good ol derail isn't always bad.
Speaking for myself but I haven't heard anyone side with the cop that suffocated the guy. That was on that one cop. No race or political party majority agrees with what he did so that is on the cop and justice will be served like anyone else.

So there are two things going on. There are peaceful protests for the general mistreatment of blacks. That is good and the way to make any needed change. Some have good points some dont.

Riots are a completely different thing all together. I can see why people would riot for certain things but not for this. All the looting and defacing property is proving the communities doing this need to be treated differently than law abiding people.
Martin Luther King is rolling in his grave.

The violence and criminal activity has to stop. Those folks are just as bad or worse than the one cop. Military is a lot better idea than letting these animals (of all races) continue the chaos. The people doing this could care less about the cop killing the guy. I'm sure many of them would have done it themselves. They are just using it as an excuse and I care zero how that group feels.

The way it’s been explained to me is that they’ve tried peaceful protests, so they’ve escalated it to violence and destruction of property. The issue is that I’ve not seen or heard a single person say “we want “x” to prove change is in the works”

People have to stop looking to the government to make the changes. The govt cannot change how people react to or treat each other. Only we the people can do that. As I see the problem alot of the people involved in the rioting and the issues are upset because someone else has not fixed the problem for them. Humans will always be distrustful of something different, it is in our dna. While alot of media and people of supposed intellect point out that it is a color issue, the truth is white people are distrustful of white people that are different, blacks are distrustful of blacks that are different etc etc and on down the line. I say a good extinction event is in order to reset the balance.

Well they just need to try harder and more frequently cause this is doing the opposite. They want the N word to disappear then they need to quit using it all the time and hold each other accountable, want people to not profile, then change the community from the inside out themselves to not meet the profile. Anything outside of that is on an individual situation basis. And that is why they can't say they want x because its already the law. And it will be handled as such in every court. If not, then that's how you solve it.

There is a reason every ghetto in America looks like ****. You could give those type of people the damn White House and it'd look like **** in 5 years too.

So Kentucky is getting a spike in cases. Mandatory face masks tomorrow which sucks for us working outside! 104 degree heat index wearing a mask is going to be miserable!

Let em try to enforce it, all it will take is one person dying from a heat stroke or breathing issue cause of a dumb mask and hopefully their family sues the state.

From the way I read the news story, masks will not be mandatory outside unless social distancing isn't possible. So I would say that most if not all the work you do can be done without a mask. The exception will be Stacy and anyone working in your showroom. It also says that the mandate will be enforced by each county's health department. My guess is they will more focused on indoor businesses. They have mandated us to wear them at work unless we are seated at our desk. If I get up to do anything, I have to have a mask on.

I also saw the Scott County circuit judge ordered a temporary restraining order against Gubner Andy's executive orders concerning COVID-19. The attorney general agreed with the ruling stating the Gubner didn't follow the proper procedures when issuing the orders. Looks like there is gonna be a little battle in the bluegrass over this issue.

City and county have been having a pissing match since it started. City mayor passes this and county says no and vice versa. That's why the city police aren't enforcing it because it's a county thing. It's all politics and who has the biggest pecker never mind they are killing small businesses. So far I've had an aunt, uncle, brother, his ole lady and my mother get it and the last 3 are on the mend so it is real but not what they are making it out to be.

My folks MIGHT have it. They had a bunch of friends get it and they were all hanging out last weekend. They get tested tomorrow.

Be glad test are free and quick here. My family in NW AR waited a week and a half for results and paid 150 each.

We just got back from Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.... they are all drinking the cool aid. Sad part is have to wear a mask to walk in and be seated...... yet folks preparing our food didn’t.
State and local government have lost their minds and keep making small business and society more ignorant.
Funny we hiked in arches national park, some folks would pass us and pull their mask up on the trails...... :gtfo:

so I got to spend a couple days in the hospital due to an infection in my arm that required surgery to drain. The ER was full of covid patients. In most cases it looks like people have flu like symptoms and just come to ER because they are so scared of what they are hearing on the news. I tested negative for the virus myself. Did hear the doctors talking about some serious patients though that could not breath. Mostly older or compromised people if i heard them correctly.

Many have Covid in my town now. A few elderly have died from it and one 54 yo guy that I knew died. Over 60 people in one small Church got it.

I was in a vehicle for over 20 hours with an in-law who had symptoms then tested positive and I did not get it. I got tested twice. Go figure.

We had a decent sized birthday party for the kids this weekend. We all stayed outside, provided more hand sanitizer and such than I care to admit. No masks though. Guess we'll see what happens. The real "high risk" people that were here, my Dad(who has beaten cancer twice, 4 heart surgeries, etc... ) included, have the same opinion. That they aren't going to spend the rest of their days living in a bubble. If this is what takes them out, so be it.

I was reading a Washington Post op-ed the other day about adult children being upset with their elderly parents, because the elderly parents had the audacity to go ahead and LIVE life instead of spending what time they have left as prisoners of fear.
disgusting.

To me it would depend how long they had left. If they only had 12-18 months to live I would say go for it. But, if I thought they were going to live 5- 10 years that is different. This thing is not going to last forever. With that said, I would just share my concerns, it would be their decision, as it should be.

In Dad's case, he may or may not still be battling some kind of cancer. He stays pretty private about that. I know most days he will take 2-3 naps throughout the day. He stays exhausted. So I think he's just going to do whatever the hell he wants to do......including his 20-something yr old girlfriend....
