Crashed Comp...Lost Bookmarks...

Is there a way to retrieve your bookmarks if the computer crashes, but we were able to revive the comp (somewhat :rolleyes:...)??? Thanks In Advance!

You can try using a ERD from systernals. This will boot in a windows shell that mounts your HDD and you can pull data from there

On this Windows XP machine:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Open the only folder in Profiles. See if there is a file called Bookmarkbackups.

Note: You might not see some of those folders in C: because they are hidden folders. You may need to unhide them.

for future use, i belive firefox has caught up with chrome, and it will now sync. basicly it synchs with the clouds, and across platforms. never loose your stuf again.

If your computer is sketchy, back your stuff up. Exporting bookmarks is easy.
