So what is the advantage to running their shafts? Are ppl. breaking the cross/body of the ctms? The 1550 has the same size caps as the 1480 which I would figure that would be the weak link. As far as building custom ur right it wouldnt matter about size then. The knuckles I am looking at are designed to have upper and lower kingpins on bearings. The face will be machined to accept a rockwell spindle. Or a adapter can be purchased/made to run a standard size spindle. The knuckles would then make it where you would have endless options. Rockwell spindles super 8 outers with OEM 2", violators and neck the inners to 40 spline. Now the joint is not the weak link. They are waiting on RCV for the specs on their bigger CV. This would allow you to run anything from 35 spline to 2" . I just have a hard time justifying what CTM wants for their 40 spline 300m and still have the same size joint and compared to these other options...My end decision will prob revolve around the best "bang"(kinda ironic choice of words).. for the buck. I havnt sold my nines yet and not planning getting started on this till after the first of the year so I have time to ponder on it. ON other note If someone knows whos knuckle Im talking about you can let the cat outta the bag instead of me because I know how some ppl are that are building new stuff. 1550 vs 1480
