custom torque converters in the SE?

PTC and ACC are .2 miles from each other on the same road in Muscle Shoals. Are they related to one another somehow?

JJ you might try Steve at champion racing transmission in Clearwater. He has been the one that took on my amc stuff that no one else wanted to touch.

I have been calling all around trying to get a converter with ZERO success. Here's what I've got so far:

ACC - Can't make an a500 converter that stalls higher than factory.
TCI - Only makes lockup converters for an a500.
Steve @ Champion - Seems totally willing but never returns calls. Giving up on him after 2 weeks of trying.
Dacco / Transtar- Can't make an a500 converter that stalls higher than factory.
Found a local trans shop that gets converters built in Idaho and is willing, but again, does not return calls.
PTC - Can't make an a500 converter that stalls higher than factory.

Is the SE location key? RevMax & Edge sell a pretty good convertor, I wonder if they could help?

Kind of. I've wasted 2 months dicking with the first company / week-long transit times back and forth. I want to minimize time wasted waiting for shipping going forward if possible.

Give Lenny a call, very good guy.

Couldn't get anything but VM out of them.

I can't recommend them as far as how they hold up or how much they cost but I can tell you the convertor I installed was really nice. The machine work was flawless on the outside but we all know sometimes looks good but doenst perform. Any how maybe they can help you out.

I gave JD and Sarge my CC number today. They were careful about getting dimensions and test fitting the pieces before they said they could do it but they finally said they would. The price is the lowest of all the places I've talked to as well. Keeping my fingers crossed, it should be here about this time next week they say.
