Does anyone still cut and rotate Toyota front housings to get a better pinion angle? Or is a high pinion my only option? I'm not looking to go with duals any time soon.

If you pay someone to do it right, the labor cost is the same as a hp dropout. I have done it on a solid axle 2nd gen with leafs and the diff side housing is rectangular, not round. So making perches, ubolt top and bottom plates are a bitch.

Finding someone to do it right was my main concern. I've seen the results of a half assed job.

Get duals or stop wheeling a monster truck.

There is NO practical or cost effective reason to cut and turn a toy axle.

6 degree shims if you wont lower it. Toyota caster will tollorate a 4-6 degree shim/tip and still drive well.

Are you running first gen ujoints? Whats the problem? Toys will put uo with allot of angle.

Ive seen some stupid angles that were working just fine.

For the record, I run a LOW rig with a high pinion and duals.

Do it right if you can. Ive built ALLOT of toyotas and NEVER had to cut and turn one.
